Segura Viudas Brut Reserva Heredad Cava is made from blend of Maccabeo and Chardonnay from the Penedes Region in Spain. First fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled low temperature, between 14 to16ºC, to maintain the primary aromas of the grapes, the Reserva Heredad blend is crafted from nine wines, each vinified separately. This blending process allows each wine to contribute its unique characteristics. Segura Viudas uses selected yeasts for both fermentations, which enhance the wine's structure, soft mouthfeel, and complex aromas of honey, nuts, and flowers while creating an elegant and persistent bubble. The final touch, known as "poignettage" or wrist shake, enhances the contact between the lees and the wine, resulting in a more complex bouquet. In Reserva Heredad, Macabeo is the dominant grape variety, contributing acidity and freshness. This characteristic also facilitates the wine's ability to age well during the more than 24 months it rests in contact with the lees.
Color: Straw yellow color with well integrated tiny bubbles.
Aroma: On the nose, the aromas of its aging on lees emerge first, with its smoky touches of pastries, with slight touches of honey, fruit, and petals appearing at the end.
Palate: It is excellent, fruity, and tasty in the mouth, with the presence of nuts from its aging. It is very elegant, leaving a feeling of fullness for everyone who enjoys it.
