Lil' Rascal Pinot Noir

Great Oregon Lil' Rascal Pinot Noir Red Wine was sourced from vineyards all over Oregon. Fruit from the Umpqua valley, the Willamette Valley, the Gorge, and Eastern Oregon were all used in the blends. They use vineyards with different soil types and different clones; this helps make a consistent bottle of wine that shows vintage variety. It has tank fermented using many different yeast strains to help create mouthfeel. Oak staves (approximately 15% new oak) are added after fermentation, and tanks are aged six months.

This fruit-driven Rascal Pinot Noir shows a delicate combination of tart red cherry and boysenberry fruit flavors on the nose that comes across as reserved and balanced. The medium body reveals flavors of juicy red fruit, earth, and spice against a backdrop of oak. On the palate, the fruit flavors echo the nose with dark red cherry and ripe raspberry. The fruit flavors are bold upfront and then take a secondary role in the earth, spice, and floral tones. The tannins are well integrated, and a streak of acidity finishes clean.

These Pinot Noir Cans have bottled at 13% alcohol by volume and pairs well with beef, veal, game (deer, venison), or poultry. Enjoy!
