Espanita Double Barrel Anejo Tequila is crafted following ancestral production techniques from mature Highlands Blue Agave. Double distilled in small batches in copper-lined alembic stills. Aged first for 12 months in American Oak and then in Kentucky Bourbon casks for another 6 to 8 months. Rich, elegantly executed, and decadently delicious Double Barrel aged Anejo Tequila that charms with tantalizing, aromatic Bourbon notes while expressing its grassy, fruit-driven Agave foundation. Aroma: Honey oak, roasted agave, and vanilla butterscotch aromas lead to chocolate mingling with dried fruit.
Flavor: On a palate, rich notes of caramel, roasted nuts, coconut butter, spicy cigar box, and baking spices are layered on an earthy, grassy Agave foundation with sauteed herbs, papaya, and green mole notes.
Finish: The finish is smooth, nuanced, and lingering.
