Chicken Cock Ryeteous Blonde Beer Barrel Finish Rye Whiskey

Grain & Barrel Spirits has launched Chicken Cock Ryeteous Blonde Beer Barrel Finish Rye Whiskey, a new limited-edition expression, in partnership with Goodwood Brewing in Louisville, Kentucky. It marks the company's second beer-barrel finish collaboration with Goodwood. Goodwood used original Chicken Cock Kentucky Straight Bourbon barrels to finish their delicious Blonde Ale. When they have done, Grain & Barrel Spirits took those barrels back and filled them with their Kentucky Straight Rye. The result is a delicious marriage of sweet bourbon flavor and rye spiciness, with notes of hops.

Chicken Cock Ryeteous Blonde is 90 proof. This rye features a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It was not chill-filtered. The aroma offers cinnamon, brown sugar, a hint of dark chocolate, slight grassiness, with complimentary overtones of malted barley and sweet oak. The taste features butterscotch, caramel, toffee, and allspice, followed by a hint of toasted oak. Enjoy!
