Antiguo de Herradura Reposado Tequila is a reposado tequila from Mexico. Made with Tequilana Weber agave from Jalisco, this antiguo tequila reflects Casa Herradura's long heritage, with roots dating back to 1870 in Amatitan, Jalisco. Antiguo de Herradura Reposado Tequila was originally developed in 1924 and served to guests at Casa Herradura before being released in Mexico in 1995.
It is aged in American White Oak barrels, giving the spirit a light straw color and a smooth profile shaped by cooked agave, citrus, cinnamon, vanilla, oak, and gentle pepper notes. The aroma opens with cooked agave, citrus, cinnamon, black pepper, fruit, vanilla, orange, wood bark, earth, flowers, and mint. At the same time, the palate brings cooked agave sweetness alongside vanilla, citrus, cinnamon, oak, orange, smoke, white pepper, and floral notes.
This reposado antiguo tequila can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks, and it also works well in classic tequila cocktails such as margaritas. It pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and spicy Mexican dishes, making it a versatile choice for relaxed meals and gatherings.
