Amrut Fusion Indian Single Malt Whiskey

Amrut 100 Proof Fusion Indian Single Malt Whiskey is made from selected Indian barley grown at the feet of the Himalayas, nurtured by the waters flowing there and cultivated by old and traditional agricultural practices. It is carefully mashed and distilled in small batches to preserve the natural aroma and matured in oak barrels in a unique tropical condition, at an altitude of 3000 feet above sea level at Bangalore, the garden city of India. Amrut presents this product as a humble tribute to the Indian farmer, who has grown this barley with care and affection he has tilled the soil.

Consistently one of Indian distillery Amrut's most popular bottles, Amrut Fusion Indian Single Malt Whiskey, is a vibrant and warming single malt with delicious notes of fresh fruit and vanilla, followed by a smoky finish. This Fusion is created from a mix of 75% unpeated Indian barley and 25% peated Scottish barley. These are separately distilled and aged for four years, then 'fused' together for a further three months. The result is an award-winning whiskey that has introduced many people to the splendors of Indian whiskey.

The nose offers fresh and tinned fruit – peaches, mangos, apricots, plus spicy cinnamon and clove, joined by Earl Grey tea's aroma and just a touch of smoke and sea spray. The palate has a real hit of fresh fruit and citrus-orange notes, with black pepper and cinnamon adding a zingy layer of spice. Rich and refreshing, absolutely delicious.
