Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 148 Limited Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey celebrates the running of the 148th Kentucky Derby. As is the official bourbon of The Kentucky Derby, this is the 19th releases in this long-standing artistic series. This bottle features the colorful work of Louisville artist Keith Anderson, an employee of the Brown-Forman's Bourbon Street Cafe. The Derby bottle has been an annual collector's item anticipated by bourbon and racing fans since 1999. Since 2007, Anderson has worked at the private dining room, moonlighting as an artist. This stunning Kentucky Derby 148 Woodford Reserve bottle showcases Anderson's remarkable painting of powerful thoroughbreds as they break from the starting gate, in the glory of their colorful racing silks. This Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 148 Edition Bourbon offers a clean, brilliant honey amber complexion, with notes of rich dried fruit, hints of mint and oranges covered with a dusting of cocoa, faint vanilla and tobacco spice on the nose. The palate is rich, chewy, rounded, and smooth, with complex citrus, cinnamon, and cocoa. Toffee, caramel, chocolate, and spice notes abound. The finish is silky smooth, almost creamy at first with a long, warm, satisfying tail. It has bottled at 45.2% alcohol by volume. Enjoy!
