    Product Description

The Glenlivet Estd. 1824 Founder's Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is from the Speyside region of Scotland. Using a method by founder George Smith, the whiskey has been matured in selecting traditional and American first-fill oak casks. It is then combined with American first-fill oak barrels, which have never been used to mature whiskey before. Selective use of these casks gives this single malt a well-balanced sweet and smooth taste.

To truly capture the essence of George Smith's vision, The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve has been created using the time-honored distillation methods that he introduced so long ago. Made with water from the same crystal-clear mountain streams, in the same cold, pure air, The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is as smooth and fruity as the whiskey that first ran from the original copper pot stills. These unique, lantern-shaped copper stills, designed by the man himself, are not the only essential tools in their distilling legacy.

The traditional oak casks in which they mature the whiskey give each expression its distinct characteristics. Its flavor is sprinkled with a creamy sweetness and zesty fruits, complementing its pale gold color. The nose has a citrus fruit and sweet orange with zesty orange, pear, and toffee apples on the palate. The finish is long, creamy, and smooth. Boasting the classic flavors of The Glenlivet bound up in a creamy, smooth texture, this expression is their tribute to the one who started it all.

The Glenlivet 1824 Founder's Reserve Scotch has bottled at 40% alcohol by volume. It is best to experience light dishes of salmon. This classic whiskey is a perfect gift for special occasions or to treat yourself as an everyday dram. Savor with ice or use to make cocktails such as Hot Toddy, Carnivale, and The Last King. Enjoy!
