Snoqualmie Whistle Stop Red Blend

Snoqualmie Columbia Valley Whistle Stop Red Wine Blend contains 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. The grapes are crushed and fermented on the skins for six days with gentle, twice daily spray-overs to achieve optimum extraction of color, tannin, and flavors. Malolactic fermentation has induced, and the wine has been aged approximately 12 months in a mix of new and older American and French oak barrels. Snoqualmie Red Blend has a dark and rich color with an inviting nose. The vibrant fresh fruit aroma of black cherry and currant combine with hints of rosemary in this Bordeaux-style blend, named for the whistling trains that pass through the landscape of Eastern Washington's vineyards. The palate is full of the same black fruit flavors on the palate by soft, supple tannin and sweet oak. This Red Blend has bottled at 14% alcohol by volume and pairs well with pasta, beef, veal, or poultry. Enjoy!
