Wild Turkey Russell's Reserve 6 Year Old Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey is made using a generations-old recipe. Master distillers and premier whiskey makers Jimmy and Eddie Russell have brought nearly 100 years of combined experience to artfully crafting this Reserve 6 Year Old Rye. Bottled at 90 proof, this uniquely smooth, hand selected small batch rye has a crisp, lively taste that they believe to be the perfect six-year-old rye. It is matured in the deepest no. 4 char barrels, aged in the "center cut" of the rick house. Russell's Reserve 6yr Old Rye has an aroma of vanilla, marzipan, and spiced toffee. The aroma gives way to bold notes of rye, allspice, cinnamon and cloves on the palate, and finishes with spicy notes of toasted rye bread and roasted nuts. This tawny and full-bodied whiskey evolves on the palate. At first, it features orange peel, vanilla, and caramel, then dry leather and cocoa notes midpalate, and finishes long and lean.
