Old Fitzgerald 8 Year Old Bottled in Bond Bourbon

A new edition to the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series is released each spring and fall. Inspired by an original 1950s Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, the packaging and series honor both the history of the Old Fitzgerald brand and the historic Bottled-in-Bond designation. The Old Fitzgerald line is well-known for its distilling pedigree, as the brand was first registered in 1884 and was eventually sold to Pappy Van Winkle during Prohibition. In 1999, Heaven Hill bought the brand and began distilling it at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky.

Old Fitzgerald 8 Year Old Bottled in Bond Bourbon is the twelfth edition of the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Series. It holds an 8-year-old age statement and meets the strict requirements of a bottled-in-bond: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume. As has always been a signature of transparency on bottled-in-bond products, a tax strip proudly shows it comprises barrels produced in the Fall of 2015 and bottled in the Fall of 2023. The packaging was inspired by an original 1950s Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter and pays homage to the brand's history of being traditionally bottled in artistic decanters of all shapes and sizes. The green label features the time-honored graphic of a key, commemorating an essential element in original labels and the brand's slogan since the 1940s: Your key to hospitality.

Color: Bright burnished copper.

Aroma: Brown sugar and toasted bread; notes of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Palate: Peaches and cream with peppery spice and caramel sweetness.

Finish: Spice notes linger alongside peach, pear, and caramelized brown sugar.
