Laphroaig Triple Wood

Laphroaig Triple Wood Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is an extension of the Quarter Cask expression. It is special for its triple maturation, which creates a unique blend of our signature peat-smoked liquid with softer notes of fruit and spices. First maturing in ex-bourbon barrels, second maturation in quarter casks and then a third maturation in European oak casks previously used for Oloroso sherry. This final stage allows for a slow maturation – all leading to a soft, complex and fully rounded flavor. When tasted, Laphroaig Triple Wood Single Malt Scotch Whiskey begins with a subtle sherry sweetness before offering up spiciness and nuttiness and a huge peat flavour. Laphroaig Triple Wood has a full sparkling natural gold color. On the nose, it has sweet raisins and creamy apricots, nuttiness, bonfire ash and earthy peat. It has a powerful body, yet with a creamy consistency. On the palate, it has creamy flavors of vanilla and fruit, with a suggestion of sherry sweetness. Laphroaig Triple Wood Single Malt Scotch Whiskey has mouth-filling and an extremely long finish which is balanced by a sweet smooth caramel taste. Enjoy!
