Kurayoshi Pure Malt Whiskey

The Kurayoshi Japanese Pure Malt Whiskey is a boutique Japanese whiskey produced by the Matsui distillery. Located in Tottori, a coastal prefecture on southern Honshu, the Matsui distillery's whiskeys are characterized by aging with the pure underground waters of the Daisen Mountains.

The Kurayoshi Pure Malt has been made with whiskeys sourced from Scottish distilleries, blended with Japanese whiskey and volcanic-stone-filtered water. The rich aroma and mellow sweetness displayed by this Pure Malt Whiskey is generated by aging in ex-bourbon white oak casks for more than three years.

The Kurayoshi Japanese Pure Malt has a soft and refreshing fragrance of malted barley complemented by sweet and tart notes of rum raisins, malt, and vanilla. A gentle mouth heat complements a balance of raisin, vanilla, and malt. The light finish is a reminder of Tottori's pure spring water used during distillation.
