The Kurayoshi Pure Malt 12 Year Old Japanese Whiskey is a blended malt from the little-known Matsui Shuzou distillery in Japan's Tottori Prefecture. This whiskey has been made with malts sourced from Scotland, then blended with Japanese whiskey and volcanic-rock-filtered water. It has bottled at 46% alcohol by volume.

The Kurayoshi Pure Malt Whiskey Aged 12 Years has a rich, fragrant aroma, with almonds and malt notes. Twelve years of maturation is reflected in every mouth-coating sip. Vanilla and dried fruit are abundant on the palate with a faint hint of smokiness. The aroma of nuts and almonds is followed by a rich malty texture, with hints of vanilla and raisins, accompanied by a light smoky flavor in perfect balance with the sweetness, bitterness, and acidity of this vintage.
