Jefferson's Reserve Very Old Bourbon

Jefferson's Reserve Very Old Very Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a complex, yet balanced combination of 3 different bourbons, including whiskey aged up to 20 years in American Oak. The result is a medium-weight bourbon with a dry, robust palate that fills with the mouth with flavors of roasted corn, caramel, toffee and oak. In 1997, when Jefferson's was first starting, they found a 15-year-old bourbon that they immediately knew was rich, complex and needed to be brought to market. It was in 2003 that they decided to bring in other bourbons to marry with the original Jefferson's Reserve. Similar to Jefferson's, they still use over 50% of that mash bill and add up to 3 more bourbons to create more flavor and complexities. Jefferson's Reserve Very Old Bourbon Whiskey is a big, sophisticated bourbon that has a lot of flavor upfront, a lot of weight mid-palate, and a deep, wonderful finish. It is complex, elegant, and sophisticated. It has an aroma of gentle, creamy vanilla, soft spices and dried fruits that open up to notes of toffee, roasted corn, and tobacco, before leading to a lingering, dry finish. Enjoy!
