Francis Coppola Director's Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petite Sirah, 5% Merlot, 5% Zinfandel, and 4% Cabernet Franc. This finely-balanced Cabernet is showcasing Sonoma County's distinctive character and style. Lightly toasted American and French oak barrels gives it soft and supple tannins. It has made from several clonal selections grown in vineyards that have distinctly different soil compositions, elevations, and climates. The result is a fragrant and complex wine with a luscious body and plenty of dark, juicy flavors of plums, cassis, and crushed wild berries. This Director's Cabernet Sauvignon offers a ripe core of fruits that include blackberry, cherry and cassis, and warm spice nuances. Dark and delicious with medium density, a balanced palate, and beautiful integration of wood, it is very fragrant and captures the essence of the vintage.
