White Wine | Muscat/Moscato
Ecco Domani Moscato White Wine 2011 has made from Moscato grapes, which were harvested at maturity in the middle of September. They underwent their primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures to preserve the fruit flavors characteristic of this variety. The result is a delightfully refreshing, clean, and crisp wine that emphasizes the fresh fruit characters of the varieties' Moscato family.
This Moscato begins with a delicate, slightly sweet aroma of mandarin orange, honeysuckle, and peach. The lovely aroma of peach, apricot, and mandarin orange entices the nose, while the somewhat off-dry palate has bright acidity to make this wine so refreshing. It tastes delicious and is easy to drink. It is a slightly bubbly (frizzante) wine that is clean and fresh with excellent fruit.
It finishes clean with some lingering mandarin orange and apricot. Not only that, but good acidity gives it lots of pairing power and combined with the sweetness would make it a good match for spicy foods. It has bottled at 8.5% alcohol by volume and pairs well with seafood, pasta, mild cheeses, or even fruit-based desserts. Quite tasty and sure to be a favorite! Enjoy!
