Kujira Ryukyu 20 Year Old

Founded in 1952, the Kumesen Syuzo Distilling Co began distilling spirits made from Long Grain Indica Rice and fermented with native Black Koji. Then around 1989, this innovative distillery started to age them in oak barrels, creating a unique kind of Ji-whiskey in its category, thus named it the Ryukyu Whiskey.

With 20 years maturing in bourbon casks, Kujira Ryukyu Aged 20 Years Japanese Whiskey as a single grain whiskey provides a beautiful taste profile that has distinguished itself from its malt counterparts and creates a refreshing choice for spirits lovers. The mash has 100% Japanese Indica Rice.

Kujira Ryukyu 20 Year Old is a medium-bodied whiskey with a caramel copper color. The nose offers herbs, various plum fruits hint, prune, and mint candy. The palate has a balanced light body, sweet, vanilla, spice, and smoky woodiness. It provides licorice and Japanese pepper with a medium finish. It has bottled at 43% alcohol by volume. Enjoy!
